Needed something to cover my avocados, herbs and grafts this summer so I bought this shade cloth from ebay and it’s supposed to be 35% but it seems like it’s more than that. I seen a post by @fruitnut mentioning using 30 or 40% in Texas does this look ok?
Is there any way to gage the percentage of sunlight it blocks?
This pic is standing inside underneath the cloth. The bottom is standing outside.
It does look like more than 35%. But for the uses you mention it should work well. My 30% sometimes seems like next to nothing. Even doubled over it doesn’t seem enough to protect tender things like blackberry.
Some people measure light with their phone. I have a light meter which works well.
