Yes that’s tree but not in the pot . I couldn’t remember how it was like that. Maybe I put something around the tree to protect it from rabbits… the tree was planted to the ground over 3 years ago since it came from Raintree .
That’s black circle looks like container couldn’t big and strong enough to hold that big tree.
How is your Emerald Beaut Brady?

The tree is in my greenhouse and not doing too well.Spider mites may have been too much, the last couple years.
There are a few grafts on another tree outside,in the ground that are growing, but no fruit yet.bb

@Vincent_8B any update on emerald beaut fruit in PNW? How was the taste and overall quality?

They’re are excellent quality and juicy as Pluot. But not much fruit. Maybe I don’t have suitable pollinators or because weather too wet during blooming time. My big tree has only around 20 fruits or less every year. But my Nadia had more than 20 pounds of fruit last year.

Thanks for the update. Is yours the real emerald beaut and not an emerald drop? I somewhat recall a thread saying a few people had mislabelled trees from a nursery who actually had emerald drop and not the emerald beaut their trees were labelled as.

When does yours bloom?

Still the same. I think Emerald drop Pluot is more accurate label. It bloom early as the same time of all the other Japanese plum. I might remove this big tree because my wife doesn’t like too many fruit trees in the front yard of the house.

My Emerald Drops also don’t seem to set fruit even though it bloomed a lot. I have plenty of pollenizers. Splash on the same tree sets well for me and looks healthier.

That’s whats going on with the grafts I have.

@Vincent_8B I got the first fruit off of your graft. It was a small one that was just starting to have some softness and tinge of yellow from all green. I enjoyed it. It was at least as good as “green pluot” from Weee!

I’m pretty sure its Emerald Drop. There is one fruit on my Emerald Drop Pluot. Hopefully it lasts long enough that I can sample it side by side with one of the 7 or 8 fruit still the graft of yours.
