The tree is a Indiana Free peach tree in it’s second leaf.
We’ve had 3+ inches of rain in the past 4 days.
There’s about 6-8 branches with clear to amber colored sap oozing out. I was hoping to get some confirmation before aggressively pruning.

If you’ve got the sunken area and it’s oozing, it’s probably some kind of canker if not bacterial, and should be removed.
