ISO Seaberry Shrub (large) Advice Needed

I planted 2 Seaberry shurbs about 5 or 6 years ago. The female died that summer, but the male has continued to grow. I finally got around to buying another female last year, but it died AGAIN! It’s really disappointing, because if the first female would have survived, she would have been producing by now.

Anyway, I would like to get a replacement, but I don’t want a small starter. I see that One Green World is advertising a “gallon” sized plant, but I’m wondering if it’s really a nice sized plant or if just just up potted a seedling they started late last year.

Does anyone have any insight about what I could expect to receive if I order from them, or better yet, do you know where I can get a nice large sized seaberry?

message Bernis at Honeyberry USA. they sometimes have bigger plants to sell and dont always have them posted on their sales page. she might also have some insight on why you lost your plants. seaberry grow best on drier spots with less fertility. i grew some 6 yrs ago and got fruit the 2nd year. i didnt water them or fertilize and they were in a gravelly spot nothing else would grow there. i didnt care for the taste so i took them out.
