It's Finally Raining in Colorado!

I was pretty stoked to see us finally getting some rain. This spring has been unseasonably warm and dry. Fire danger has been extremely high and we have already had some small fires in the state. The soil around our house has become pretty hard from all the dry, warm weather.

I’m hoping the rain will help loosen things up a bit so that I can get some new trees in the ground in April. The long-term forecast looks promising!

Yes, it was quite strange to go to sleep to the sound of rain hitting the gutters. Have not heard that in a while.

Have not gotten much in the way of snow up here, but maybe 0.2" of moisture when it all melts…

Cool. Didn’t realize we had anyone here from Colorado. Mind if I add you to the general member location map? I’m trying to fill up that big gaping void that we see through the mountain west region.

Go right a head! Denver.
You may want to add Steve as well.

I’m sure there are others from Colorado. I know there are some specific challenges growing trees here so it would be great to spread the knowledge.
