My son decided to send me something for my birthday. A Korean Golden pear from Santiam nursery arrived today. I had a chance to try one from the Korean grocery store in Montgomery Alabama just over a year ago. It was a very good Asian variety with typical juicy sweet not very aromatic flavor. I wanted it because the skin tends to be very smooth and golden when ripe. Now I need to find a place to set it out. That is getting kinda hard around here, I have about 40 or 50 trees to set out this winter.
