I am thinking of planting a few Kwanzan & Yoshino cherry trees in my front yard. However, I am hesitant because Black Knot is highly prevalent in my area and my neighbors have a lot of wild cherry trees that are infected. Not only am I concerned about the health of these ornamental trees, but I also don’t want a reservoir of BK in my yard close to my plum trees. Does any one know if these two ornamental cherries are highly susceptible to Black Knot.
