This is a large apple that I grafted but don’t have a clue as to what variety it is. It doesn’t appear to be near ripening.

The partial russet skin looks kind of like the goldrush on my tree but maybe not the shape, although they can vary. I guess were not late enough yet to rule out other possibilities.

I’d say that’s definitely Hammond judging by the photo on the Horne Creek website. How did it taste?

I didn’t document anything in my records but I remember it being tart and it probably wasn’t ripe.
