Does anyone have any experience with Laroda Plum in the SE USA or Mid-Atlantic Region, USA. I’m looking for a late season plum. At least one site said that this strain in bacterial stem canker resistant. It sounds like it will likely ripen in July here in my part of Georgia, which will extend my season quite a bit. Does anyone know how it behaves on the East Coast? Does it have brown rot or other issues which might make it not work in the south? Is it really stem canker resistant? Are there any issues with it I haven’t thought about. If I get it, it will be grafted onto a Chickasaw cultivars.
