The bane of my existence and partly the thing that sent me on my journey to learn plant breeding has been the movement of the fruit market towards lower acid fruit. Sweet without acid balance is insipid to me.
I haven’t had a really good pineapple in decades because the industry moved away from ‘Smooth Cayenne’ and others that once defined pineapple taste. I cannot find the cultivar anywhere, though. Does anyone know where I can mail order it from?

I am interested just to hear about different pineapples! I want to say I watch a video years ago on the youtube channel that showed different types of pineapple"Growing Your Greens" with John Kohler. You would have to search for it through the channel though.
Smooth Cayenne has been for sale of TFF a few times, the last time I can see slips being available was last August. Could always put out a WTB for it.
