Have any of you ever found these in any of their figs. My son bit into the one containing these, but it’s the only fig of hundreds that was so infested.
It’s hard to see but it doesn’t look like the black fig fly to me (which probably wouldn’t survive the winter for you anyhow). Here’s one of those someone posted:

I have not seen those… but if I dont bag mine… I get SWD and other pest…
Worst we ever experienced was a japanese beetle burried itself … entered the eye.
That is why I always cut ours in half and inspect the inside.
I have a 1150 cp olight… that i inspect each half well with. If there are swd inside… i can easily see them.
