It probably taste similar to the green Tlanoxtle (Both species hybridize in the wild where they co-occur). I’ve never tried it nor have I found anyone else who has told me what it taste like but I do know it’s edible.
It will survive in temperate climates via the Underground tubers (Especially if well mulched).They grow kind of like Potaotes, meaning if you can grow potaotes where you live, you can grow this too!
Makes me wonder with tubers this large, are they also edible like potatoes?
