Making Lavender Wands in Les Baux

That is my teacher Elsa in the white dress. It is her private lavender field. She gives lessons every june-july in lavender wand making. I have been going every year for 18 years. (Except during Covid). The wands were made in theb 18-19th century to put in your linen closet or linen press to keep away the moths and make your linens smell like ‘lavender summer’ all year long. The ribbons are from only only silk ribbon factory left in France. Alas. They are fun and very relaxing to make!
