Three years ago when I was a fruit newb I purchased a low chill apple from grow organic:
The tree has grown well though Im extremely concerned that this was the wrong tree to purchase for our late frost Georgia springs. I haven’t done any grafting yet and am wondering if I should rip and replace with something more hardy? From what Ive read on the interwebs this tree was designed for the south east.
Mickster, I think you will likely be fine with a low chill apple in our area. Apples bloom late enough that fruit production is rarely lost to late freezes. You can always graft over to a different variety of late freezes becomes an issue or you don’t care for the taste.

You should be fine. Anna and Gordon will switch from summer apples to fall apples in a higher chill environment. Fuji was originally considered a high chill cultivar — this will be fine too. Apples are smart, they know what to do…
