That’s exciting. What varieties are those?
Someday I’d like to taste a Mirabelle. Brady
What are the peaches in bloom?
I have exactly one fruit set on my three year old geneva mirabelle. I’m going to put some kind of net around the fruit to protect it. I’m determined to try one this year!
The top photo is a Mirabelle de Nancy just starting to bloom, behind it is a large Mirabelle de Metz and it is loaded with flowers.
The plum tree after that photo are mirabelles de Nancy and one very skinny Bavay.
The peach tree that you see in in a ‘mirabelle de Nancy’ is ‘Early Crawford’, a deliciouse medium size peach that needs little thinning.
The last large tree is the Italian Prune Plum that is loaded with blossoms this year! Anything is great after last year so I am really excited!
If there is only one, hang on to it as best you can. The tree will not take off for a couple more years.
The peaches that you see in the background are ‘Elberta’, ‘Early Crawford’, and a seedling.
