I have never heard of mulberry flour. Do you have more information on how to make it and what it’s for.
I really appreciate your post, because one of my fruit focuses for 2025 is mulberries. I let about 20 wild planted mulberries remain on our property for the last 4-7 years. I will keep the one white mulberry, but the rest I will graft.
I would like to take advantage of all of the health benefits as well. Do you dry leaves for tea in the summer for winter use as well?
Mulberry flour or “piht” is popular in the country of Tajikistan, where it is an important source of food that provides healthy nourishment enriched with minerals and vitamins. Mulberries of local light colored varieties are dried in the sun and grinded.
I see. Yes, I dry mulberry leaves and fig leaves for tea for winter use.
Yea I have nigras, hybrids, himalayan etc so would be interesting to see if there are different health benefits with different leaves. The leaves can be quite different from one species to another
