I grew them in the Fl keys and they were never that good, so many other varieties that are way better.
Sure there are plenty of better ones. I still don’t think Orinoco is garbage though and will gladly eat them over store bananas.

Everyone has different tastes, when I was working at Grimal grove I met plenty of people who really liked Orinoco bananas but I am not one of them.

That’s not hard to do. However, I’m not desperate to eat bananas. When high quality bananas are not available, I eat other high-quality fruits. There are plenty available here year-round, either from our yard or the local market. At the moment it’s raining Suebelle White Sapotes.
