Red Booskop
Red Ananas Reinette
Can any grower find an apple that resembles this one. It fell to the ground under my Tomkins King tee but it’s definitely not that variety. There is a four year old graft of a variety I obtained from a nursery several years back. They called it Framework so it’s possible that could be this variety, I did not pay attention this year to notice if that graft was fruiting. Since I grafted it I have not been able to locate a fruit description, or even know if that is a correct variety label. In fact that name brings up no actual variety so I am wondering what I actually received.
If you have a hunch about its name please advise. I have not cut it yet, wanted to see first if anyone has it. It’s about 10% larger than most Tomkins Kings.

Our Kaiser Wilhelm tree has yet to bear, but other photos I have seen of that variety show red over yellow, not yellow and green.
Well the tree is more on shadow… maby thats why?
IMHO ones that look that beautiful NEVER taste any good. Mealy bland with no notes of flavor.
Happy for you that you found a good one! What’s the parentage?
That is some of the most intense color ive seen ever. Gorgeous!
Thanks a lot! And it was good size and soo good and sweet! I was amazed!
I don’t know the crimson crisp parentage… its a club apple.
Does this sound right?
Crimson Crisp is an outstanding apple in my books. Great taste and disease resistant, it’s a grower friendly apple.
It’s not a club apple, just a patented one.
Parentage:
attractive crimson red color - YES.
a very firm, crisp texture - YES
with a tart complex favor - It’s not tart at all. And YES, favor is complex.
The tree is very grower friendly - YES
with a spreading habit - I’d call it more upright, at least on M.7
The fruit matures in mid-season - about right, apples hang on a tree for quite some time without dropping.
Will keep in cold storage for six months - it’s a good keeper from my experience.
Pfirsichroter Sommerapfel
are these a summer or early apple? the name suggests it.
Yes its a early summer apple.
i got my 1st 6 apples off my new 6ft. Williams pride last summer. Skillcult ( Steve) gave this apple high regards. they were the best early apple ive ever had. big too. if you havent eaten, one fills you up. its pretty crisp for a summer apple. taste is similar to empire. it was its 1st year fruiting so it may change some. it was only its 2nd year in ground so it might not produce at all this year. the price i pay for not pruning some off. it also has a local apple i call limestone, that came from the same named town. its a whitish apple with some light red stripes. a september apple so still early for here. the color contrast on the tree should be neat to see. i have it grafted on my black oxford also. but thats a late apple.
