Just had my first Niagara Black fig! It’s supposed to be identical to Longe d’Aout. It was pure jam! Like a mix between fig and strawberry. Unbelievably good! Prior to this, my best tasting fig this year was Moscatel Preto. NB beat it! Thank you Jesus! This was my first year to eat my own figs, and I can’t wait to have a ton next year.
In your area you could probably have main crop Black Jacks, this year my BJ gave us a large number of ripe fruits before frost. They are very large and sweet. I can trade scions if you wish

If you’re looking for NB, I’d have to do it next year since it’s too small.
No problem Rob,
I am offering Black Jack since I think your climate has a longer and warmer growing season that BJ. And my BJ is about 7 years old so I have plenty of pruning to do each spring, in case you want some.
I also have a number of Dessert King rootstocks that I can ship this fall once dormant if you want a high Breba producer with a good main crop and a very strong rootstock. I only ask for postage.
I actually have a graft of Longued’Aout from a local source and I intend to top work my Black Mission tree with the following varieties from my local friends in Seattle. All of the below ripen here so it may be they could work for you too!
Lattarulla Italian Honey
Longue d’Aout / Nordland
Takoma Violet Fig
Neverella Fig
