Gerardi dwarf
Wellington
You buyed it? The fruits are good?
Yes today @ leroy merlin!! Lol
Havent tasted them yet
Great!
I know its not the moment to graft but it was my chance
My centenary old morus nigra is at risk (long story), so i decided to try and graft to have backups.
Lots of attempts (cleft grafts, modified cleft grafs, etc)
Syzygium paniculatum I think
Australian bush cherry?
I have some plants as edges in pots.
When fully ripe they taste as bland ripe cherries.
Survivalist food. Heard we can do jelly with them also.
Hello Carl,
I just saw an ad for a relatively new Mulberry variety,at a plant dealer, here in the US.
They list the name as, Mulberry Bush Mojo Berry PP (Morus roundifolia BonBonBerry® Mojo Berry PP),but the correct scientific name probably is, Morus rotundiloba and another common name besides the one listed is Charlotte Russe.
It seems that access is more limited right now to England and maybe other parts of Europe. The reviews have been mixed, with some calling the flavor bland or just sweet, while others really liking it.
One feature is,the growth habit stays fairly small, around five feet.
I was wondering,is this one in your collection and if so,what your opinion might be?
Ofcourse i have it
Grows like crazy berries are medium sized, very acidic like grass taste. Not good sorry
I already trimmed it several times and grows very fast but in a bush type, not tree like.
@Bradybb i must have some posts about it on this thread i think
Syzygium paniculatum really ripe
Reviews say its tasteless, survival food but i dont fully agree. Good size, juicy, refreshing, flowery taste
That may be more commonly called the Australian Brush Cherry. There is another Australian one,the Cedar Bay Cherry,Eugenia reinwardtiana, that some people call Bush Cherry, more commonly Beach Cherry though.
While visiting San Francisco,I came across one like yours, along a city sidewalk,at least 20 x 20 feet in size, full of fruit.Being unsure of the edibility, none were sampled.
I have a cedar bay cherry also, but it hasnt fruited yet
Hello!
I’m new here! Wondering if you have mulberry cuttings for sale/trade?
Greetings from the Azores!
Greetings from Portugal…
Podemos falar em Português lol
Certo! Que estava em Portugal continental já tinha percebido, mas fiquei na dúvida se falaria português.
Estou à procura de algumas variedades de amoreiras para experimentar. Vende ou troca estacas? De momento a única coisa que tenho para troca são estacas de pitaias.
