Gas sprayer can finish spraying one acre for a few minutes.
It’s great to see that at least one of those four guys is wearing some form of mask. Sheesh…
@Sophia2017,
My neighbors would have a heart attack seeing the mist like that.
I suggest you buy disposable Tyvex coverall suits for your husband. When I finish dressing for spraying, I look like an astronaut. (Others may think I look more like a space cadet. I feel good being fully covered!!!
Good suggestion!
My husband usually wears old clothes. Wash them after spraying.
This is insane!!!
Is it battery powered or gas?
Never mind. I see it is gas powered.
Never have thought about using one of the Stihl blowers on fruit trees for pesticides and fungicides but they work great for controlling invasive bush honeysuckle in the understory of timbered areas.
I believe the Stihl SR 450 is the only backpack sprayer they (Stihl) produce that is rated for suspended solids, so be sure you know what you want to do with it before you buy one. That unit also is set up for solids (dusting). The SR 450 isn’t cheap @ $700 but it seems to be pretty efficient in disbursing the product / pesticide. We have a lot of Stihl products that we’re very happy with, but the product description on this SR 450 has gotten pathetically bad in the past couple of years. I don’t think they even disclose if it has tank agitation. This is essentially a blower with one or two atomizing/misting nozzles at the end of the air hose. Stihl does recommend a “pump kit” if you expect to be spraying up above a 30 degree angle for extended periods of time.
