Any ideas on how to over-winter this ( Suhosine mulberry) in a pot. It is not hardy enough for my climate. I can’t decide if I should try to get this plant dormant and pack it in with my (soon to be) sleeping figs or if I should try to keep it non-dormant with my tropicals (under leds)
Hi! Well here the aereal part dies during the winter but resprout from roots. If you have on pot you can take indors but if not, if she is too big just let her stay… hoping it will not too cold…
Hi! This is the most cold hardy variety of guava family and it’s origins are the south of Brazil. It’s a sub-tropical fruit that stands -12C! Very productive! Rich composition profile…
The flavour is a bit complex, acid-sweet and pinapple-pine refreshing flavour. The marmaladeis just wonderfull made without shells and just the white flesh, made with brown sugar… figs+caramel flavour marmalade!
It’s not a guava per si, it’s from her family… The flowers are lovely, big and edible. The petals are sweet and a jam can be made of them. In winter they don’t loose the leaves.
Yes i did… It’s not grafted because lychee trees don’t nead it. They are produced by “layering” (alporquia)… i don’t know if this is the correct translation…
