I don’t have any information on what this might be, but I have this on several of my blackberry plants as well. I’m in 8A in Atlanta. None of my plants are on irrigation. I have Apache, Prime Ark Freedom, Ponca, and Navaho in a row. The Navaho, which are the most established plants, and the Apache, which is the youngest, show no signs. But the Ponca and the Prime Ark Freedom, which are both on their second growing season, are doing exactly the same as your pictures. I pruned back the dead part of the primocane, and I’m monitoring it. The Ponca seems to be working through it.

They are continuing to look worse. I’m guessing at least my Arapaho will be dead by the end of the season.
