Nectarine Nutritional Deficiency ID

What do you think is going on here with my Harko Nectarine? It had been lush and vibrant in growth. However, it all of sudden developed curled, pinkish leaves on the newest growth and the leaves overall looked limp. It is not the fungal peach leaf curl which has distinct warping of the leaves if it is a fungal infection.
I read that a magnesium deficiency can cause curling of the leaves that turn a pinkish cast.
Thanks for your help!!

Are you watering it enough? Did you over fertilize it?

I think it is watered well enough. Other trees around it look fine. The water meter says moist soil when tested.
What makes you think over fertilized?
Thanks,
Frank

I have seen that with my nectarine trees when I over-fertilized them before. The remedy is to copiously water the tree so that you dilute the fertilizer concentration in soil moisture, and allow the tree to absorb water easily. If the soluble solids concentration in irrigation water is too much, the tree roots will have difficulty absorbing the water.

I am not saying this is for sure the diagnosis, but the solution is easy enough to try. It may take a week or two to see a difference, but since we are towards the end of the growing season you may not see a flush of a healthy new growth. My trees usually slow/stop putting new growth towards the end of August.
