Need help with bug ID and advice

Browsing my baby orchard today and spotted a few pests that I’d like Identified.

This worm was on my apple tree. Is this harmless or is it a future codling moth

This guy was also on my apple tree. Some type of beetle I guess. Notice the little brown patch near the bug? Is it coincidence or did this guy cause the browning?

Sorry for the poor picture but this guy was on my black gold cherry. With the elephant snout I wondered if it is plum curculio?

Lastly, this fella was not the same as the other bug on my cherry. Didn’t notice a snout. Sorry again for poor picture.

South with that in mind, these are first year trees so they will bear no fruit. Should I give them a shot of spectracide? I was planning on my first spray of immunox soon since petals will be falling. Should I mix immunox and spectracode and spray at the same time?

First pic is an inch worm. Not related to CM.

You don’t need to spray any bug killer now, unless you see leaf damage. That third picture does look like a curculio.

Thanks. There were a few leaves with some holes chewed in them but there weren’t any bugs on them to figure out which one was the culprit. I will keep my eye out. I purchased some tanglefoot the other day and I think I’ll wrap the trunks just for the heck of it.

Found some more of that bug/beetle shown in that 2nd picture today. I squished it but would hate to find out its a beneficial insect. Are there any good sites for insect identification?

I’m pretty sure the second photo of the red and black beetle is a type of Assassin bug. These are good to have around as they’ll eat lots of bad bugs.

I think the bug with a snout is some type of Snout beetle/Weevil - not a good bug to have.

If you Google both of those bugs, you should see some photos that are q pretty close match.

That bronze and black one is beautiful! Hope it’s beneficial.

Mystery Solved. Unfortunately it’s not beneficial. It’s a Locust Leaf Miner and can be dstructive. I have some locust trees in the woods near my home but it sounds like they are opportunists and took a liking to my Honeycrisp tree. This is the same Honeycrisp tree that is mysteriously on it’s death bed right now that I will likely lose soon. I don’t know that the leaf miner is what is killing it but something certainly is.
