Neon green roots?

So I’m uppotting my 3 gallon contorted mulberry and the roots are neon greenish. Much more so than it shows in the picture, but less so than and 80s arcade.

I uppotted it once already this season from 1 to 3 gallons and I don’t remember the roots at all so I assume they were normal.

I tried the google and got no results. What’s up with it?

Mulberries normally have what I would call bright yellow roots.
This is normal
