I just got a 7 foot tall Methley Plum bare root for $3.99 from HEB - they put them all on clearance to get rid of them
they even had a couple more but this one was the only one that was leafing out so I grabbed it. I immediately planted it in a container (as is usual for me) and then decided I needed to train it to be more bushy, so I chopped it from 7 feet tall down to just above knee height… no idea if that was a mistake or not but hey it was only four bucks!
Hi, where did you get your Pembina plum? I’ve been looking everywhere but have mostly only found nurseries in Canada that either dont ship to US, or do but it’s crazy expensive.
I picked up Anna apple, low chill. It’s on a dwarf root stock and will remain in the pot. Picked up Snow Queen nectarine and it will be my first white flesh. It’s currently in the pot. I have decided to jam it into 3 other trees this fall. It will be 4 in one hole (2 guava and another nectarine). Picked up the Autumn Royal Black Grape. Transplanted it into a 15 gallon grow bag. Found out it needs water every other day. I need a place with shade, but sun on top. Converted a basketball into a trellis for the grape. It’'s still a work in progress.
just went through my acquired tree seeds. planted about 20 of good eating wild apple seeds from non grafted trees. 6 of my black ice plum pits. the pit of my 1st reliance peach. 20 Manchurian apricot seeds and about 20 seeds of European developed black locust variety that’s grown for its strait growth timber. ill give away what i don’t plant
