I planted a grafted yuzu from One Green World and a Thomasville citrangequat from Madison citrus this spring/early summer.
I’m pretty sure this new growth on the citrangequat is from the graft, but i’m not certain.
Then this is the yuzu. Again, i am pretty sure the new growth is fine, but i thought i’d check.

The main thing to check is where the growth is emerging relative to the graft union. Anything coming from below that bulge or scar on the trunk is rootstock and should come off. Growth from above is almost certainly from the scion. Leaf shape can help too if you know what the rootstock variety looks like, often quite different from the grafted variety.
Both these cases are hard because they seem to come from the same place as the grafted stock, not above or below. The good news is the leaf shapes seem the same. I’m just not sure how distinct the leaves should be.
Yes that looks like a very vigorous shoot coming from the graft! They’re worth keeping on Thomasville since it is a slow grower otherwise, and likes to prioritize fruit over growth.
