New hardy fuzzy kiwis

Tango and Hombre

Anyone know more than the article?

Sorry, this was already posted.

These are not green fuzzy kiwis, but yellow A. chinensis var. chinensis kiwis. All I have found is they bloom in early to mid May in WV, and need at least 600 chill hours (Utah model) for proper budbreak and bloom. Tango fruit ripens there in October. Tango fruits are small, average size only 35 grams (max 62 g), but without thinning. Proper thinning should significantly improve size.

they sound interesting and promising. am in zone8 georgia…was wondering if they break dormancy late enough to escape our spring frosts and sometimes fickle fall weather going into dormancy? also who where on availability?? thanks in advance, randy/ga
