New Pluerry and Aprium Varieties in hand!

One of my local nurseries had these in stock already. He said he ordered 20 of each variety but only received 5 of each. Both are on Citation, which isn’t my favorite but that is all he had. The Summer Delight Aprium is a full 1/2" caliper with some nice low structure. The Candy Heart Pluerry is 3/8" whip. For now I’m going to heel them in one of my raised garden beds until It dries out a bit here and I figure out where to put them. Merry Christmas to me!!!

I have not had the luxury of tasting a pluerry but I did get to sample my first Aprium this past summer. They were dynamite and I think I liked them better than any pluot I’ve ever had. I’m either going to purchase some or find some scion wood and graft to my existing stock once they mature.

Plant them in pots.

I’ve got the room and good soil. There is no need for me to plant them in pots, plus I like my trees to get to about 7-9’ tall.

I was finally able to get them planted plus get most of my pruning and some spraying done.
