I had my first Nicola apple today. This is a very good apple. It has the crispness of many modern apples but with better flavor. It’s easily better than Honeycrisp. Nicola is a cross between ‘Splendour’ and ‘Gala’, made in Canada. It’s supposed to have extremely good storage characteristics.
