No leaves on lengthy stretches of my Flavor KingPluot

My flavor king pluot has no leaves, only fruit, for 2/3-3/4 of the length of most of its branches. None of my other pluots or plums are manifesting the same behavior. It doesn’t seem good to have entire lengths of branch completely unprotected from the sun. The three branches in the photo don’t have any leaves on them until the end (it’s hard to show this, since leaves from other branches appear behind them in some places).

Is this normal behavior? Has anyone else had this experience? Should I be concerned about it?

That’s pretty normal looking. It will be OK. You can prune some of those out each yr if you want.

Is that bird screen over the plants or a greenhouse?

A number of them will drop on their own.
