I am already spraying (insecticide and fungicide in summer), though I do scale way back as the summer goes on. I already have some apples that ripen here in mid-late October and I’ve seen them through to the end - I figure one more month can’t be much worse.
I also grafted some limbertwigs and other late apples to other large trees I have. I grafted Brushy Mountain Limbertwig and Swiss Limbertwig after hearing positive things about them. The other late ones are King David, Court Pendu Plat, and Winecrisp. I already have Enterprise.
What is bad looking about Old Fashioned Limbertwig? Is it just an unattractive apple? or is it prone to insect damage?
