This is where I bought my Conference pear. No Abate Fetel left. Its in front, the second picture. Beautifully grown trees in an impeccable nursery. A beautiful day with our daily, very blue sky!

I amazed by the trunk caliper of the fruit trees. I don’t see that caliper size on trees being sold by me, granted I’m mostly looking around in big box type stores and high volume garden centers.

I too was surprised. It is not unusual for the French to graft onto 3-5 year rootstock. Great for older clients like me! I have to wait usually 1-2 years for fruit. Except for plums; they are always so slow to fruit but once they start, you can’t stop them!
