Old Apple ID

We have some old, very tall apple trees on our property producing a ton of very delicious apples. All are ripe (black seeds), sweet, and crisp. Someone clearly spent time considering what to plant! (I’m pretty sure I also have some souvenir de malmaison roses, so I think this person was very thoughtful.)

Do you happen to have any ideas what these could be?

I thought the little green ones might be ananas Reinette, but they’re not as spotted and yellow as the ones I’ve had in the UK.

Small green one - all apples on the tree are the same small size, maybe ~2in wide and like 2.25-2.75in tall

Medium dark red one (my guess is Spartan?)

Medium/large red/yellow one

The left tree is the small green apple

27.7 cm / 10.9 in diameter, 22–25 ft (6.7–7.6 m) tall

The middle tree is the dark red apple

25.1 cm / 9.9 in diameter, 24–27 ft (7.3–8.2 m) tall

The right tree is the yellow/red apple

24.2 cm / 9.5 in, 23–26 ft (7.0–7.9 m)

It is almost impossible to say really. More details of the trees, their growth, habit, flowering and ripening time could narrow it down some.

Ah okay. We are in zone 9b, and they are all ripe the last 2-3 weeks. The trees themselves are large. I have attached a photo.

The red/yellow tree is on the right The dark red apple tree on the left. I’ll go snap another of the small green apple tree!

Update: We’re going to DNA test them.Taking any guesses now!

I’m tonight the dark red is Spartan and maybe Gravenstein for yellow/red. Very confused by small green!
