This was the first and only Flavor Grenade I got off my multi graph tree. I subsequently ripped the branch off and while I got it reattached and it lived for a couple more seasons it eventualy died and gave me only one fruit. It was really good

I planted 2 European Dogwoods, One died, The replacement died. Two years of grafting I finally got one to take. It flowered this year and so far One dam fruit.

I know how you feel…

I’m a bit curious as your flavor grenade is much darker and fully red compared to all the photos I’ve seen.

This is my first with fruit on that tree. Luckily I have a lot of fruit to try to figure out when to pick and what state I prefer them in.

I thiink it was pecking damage. Since I only ever got one I don’t know for sure. But Flavor grenade is one of the pulots they sell labeled in the grocery store so I can confirm it was fg by taste. Mine was just sweeter.

Your Bush Cherry post is depressing. I have a second year pair ever so slowly growing here. I was hoping for a tasty cherry like substitute as real cherry trees are a total pain here. So many videos of plants loaded with cherries!

Positive. That graft was on a diffrent tree and got dear rubbed. The shape also matched up with other FG.

I don’t know what you want, bub. I’ve had tress that go 10 years to produce (Green Gage) then get black knot after a year or two and have to be cut down. Then the other 7 plums all got it and are gone. I’ve had lots of other trees that didn’t work out. That is why you have tons of fruit trees for the bad years and to cover for the bad trees that were doomed to fail.

So that is why they called it flavor grenade. They only produce 1-5 fruits per year and all the flavor that usually goes to 100-200 fruits goes into 1-5 no wonder it has a lot of flavor. :yum:

Flavor Grenade will eventually develop that color,if left on the tree.
