Order mess up

got 2 cascade gold raspberry in 4in pots in full leaf delivered today. were supposed to be dormant. can’t plant out till early may. whats the chance of me keeping these alive in my grow room, under my leds, without up potting until early may? I’m thinking if i keep them in the small pots with a little fertilizer i should able to keep them alive till then?

i dont see why you couldnt keep them alive as long as you give them what they need. i myself wouldnt give them any fertilizer at this time.

problem is they will want to grow canes. should i keep them in the 4in. pots and give minimal ferts or should i pot up to something bigger? not much room in my grow room. 4’ x 5’.

I’d put them in a 1 gallon size pot if you have one. they don’t take up much space and will give the roots room to expand. I have to agree with thepodpiper on skipping the ferts. If anything maybe use a low NPK liquid for transplanting but you don’t want these things putting on too much growth in your house. Good luck I hope they do well for you.

i have a light potting mix i use for starting seeds. the only fertilizer in there is some worm castings. ill up pot them into some gal. fabric pots today. thanks for the advice!

Take pictures of the plants today, send them to the seller. Call them, and make them aware of their mistake. You will want replacements if they die.

I bought two in HD in full leaves as well. I planted them in a medium width tall pots made from plastic bottles with some bottom less pots on top(look at the picture here Caroline vs Anne raspberies - #11 by Ortegojeffrey) , and I will let them grow as much as they want until the weather cooperates. Last year I bought a plant that was in the small pot for long time. It was still alive(barely ) when I bought it. It didn’t survive. So I guess as soon as they started to grow, they need to be planted.

well i up potted my 2 cascade gold and they are growing like gangbusters! put on 4in of new growth in 4 days! the soil i used is burpees seedling mix that i added a handful of worm castings to. didn’t think they would take off that fast. have them in gal. pots. how the hell am i going to get them to not take over my grow room in the next couple months? its only 4’ by 5’. i may have to cut them back to limit their growth.

Put them somewhere that is not that warm, that should slow them down

don’t have such a place in the house.
