Ordering from England's

Does anyone have tips for ordering from England’s Orchard and Nursery? Their website doesn’t appear to be updated regularly, and it’s difficult to find lists for currently available fruit trees, as well as prices for scions, trees, shipping, etc. I have the 2021/22 scion list, but I’m hesitant to bother Cliff with additional questions. He must get inundated with emails.

When I visited there this past September, he mentioned having had a health issue come up, and that he would not be offering grafted trees for sale in the coming year, but would continue with scions and seeds. That’s my understanding—you might want to confirm if you were wanting something from him.

Thank you, that’s good to know. Wish I lived close enough to visit–being able to see the fruit diversity in person would be amazing! I’ll just try contacting him directly.

Just call him. Cliff is a great guy and super responsive. He’d be happy to speak on the phone.

Cliff is a fine person and an excellent resource. I can confirm he had health problems. He also got hit hard by the last winter blast. He may be back in Fall 2022.
In the meantime he has a terrific collection of scions. He should be finished with an updated list
in December. Feel free to ask him for something interesting for your zone.

I hope Cliff solved whatever it was and is back to good health.

If he got no emails or no calls he’d be doubly poor…so I’m sure your communication must be important.
Go for it. Most Kentucky folks are nice people.

I really believe he likes people to come and tour his orchard. A bit off the highway but you get to see some trees you may not know existed.

If we’re ever in the area again for a bourbon tour, I’ll definitely add it to the itinerary! :slightly_smiling_face:
