Organic Snail Pesticide and soil amendment

This is locally made in Crowley,la from invasive golden apple snails that are getting into farmed crawfish ponds in recent years and caught along with the crawfish in traps. Glad they are finding a use for them.

10 dollars a pound is too expensive for me to use.

That’s… absurd. There’s just no real use for a fertilizer that costs that much.

I agree the price is absurd for 1 pound of a fertilizer with NPK = 3-0.6-0.3. On the other hand, $1 per pound of water-soluble 30-10-20 is reasonable.

$10/lb to my mind would only be justifiable for highly specialized micronutrient fertilisers, say a molybdenum concentrate. Not snail concentrate.

We are in loud agreement on that. I currently pay $2 per pound for 25 lb bags of organic Sluggo pesticide. One bag will suffice for several applications to our 1/4 property per year.

However, in the realm of fertilizer alone (not a snail product), I believe that $1 per pound of NPK 30-10-20 water-soluble with minors and micros is a competitive price.
