I have two each in about 20 gallon pots with a mix of potting mix from TSC and kitchen compost. Three out of four seem happy with the setup and one droops all the time like it doesn’t get enough water. Its potmate is quite content. I’m not convinced it’s an optimal setup but I wanted to be able to easily overwinter the roots if I get a keeper plant. I’m thinking I should have put them in the ground- both for warmer winter roots and better moisture. But it’s a gamble that it doesn’t get invasive.

Thx! After years of growing them in ground, I’m trying containers because the in ground vines are totally feral at this point and difficult to harvest.
