Pawpaw webworm ( asimina webworms)

Well it’s that time of year again for this pest.
This is a catapiller with a orange stripe ,that folds the leaves together and hides in there eating the leaves and twigs.
Usually on the tips of branches.
I have had considerable damage on young trees from this in years past. So early August here , Wv. ,I look for them…and they are here now.
I just pull those leaves with the catapiller off and smash them.
So … You may want to look to see if you have them now.
