This is my first post. What is wrong with my persimmon tree?

Not sure if what you have is persimmon borer… possible I suppose.
Last fall we made the trip to Englands Orchard for the tour… before the tour started Cliff spoke some about the persimmon borer and had samples of wood from trees killed by the borer.
It shows that early on in the youtube vid above.
I have on a stetson mountain sky hat (brown)… and burgendy vest… my wife has red hair. He got us on his video.
