This just happened last night after our first rain in a while. Some kind of poop everywhere on leaves, chewed leaves, and a dead beetle hanging upside down.
What did this?

It could have been a bunch of beetles like that one, it looks like some kind of pill beetle. Go outside tonight with a flashlight and you will see them in action.
