Are there American persimmon seedlings (not grafted ) that bear fruit without any male American persimmon trees. There was a distribution of persimmon seedlings in our community but I read that there are male and female trees usually.!is it possible that female trees can bear without males. Cannot get answer or else answers are confusing.
In short, yes its very common. Most fruiting varieties will bear without pollination, properly known as parthenocarpy.
