Picked Yellow Peach from Apricot Rootstock Tree

I had a Blenheim apricot tree. It died. I was going to graft it again. But did not have time. So the rootstock started to take over.

This season, it sent some nice yellow peaches. I do have 2 necterine and 2 peach trees. I guess that took care of the pollination.

I just wonder what rootstock nursery used to graft apricot trees.

Lovell seedling would be my guess.

Did you ever get cherries from that tree? If you bought it from a big box store, odds are good it wasn’t even a cherry. If it was cherry, it’s a very interesting graft compatability.

It wasn’t a “Blenheim” apricot that died?

Yes, Blenheim apricot, not cherry that I mistaken.
