Or could be a fungicide called EW20.

It’s been a while since this thread started but today I had a pink lady that straight up tasted like chemicals. I searched “apple tastes like chemicals” without even typing pink lady and multiple sources say this same thing about them. First time I’ve ever experienced that awful taste from these apples. The meat was also less crisp, and some spots had a slight brownish hue. I did thoroughly wash the apple as well.
