My Euro are all open center and in full sun. Mirabelles get the most black knot, both de Nancy and Parfume devSeptembre,

I have had a lot of Black Knot in Upstate NY. We have tons of native wild Cherry trees. Worst trees were Stanley Plum, Methley, Bruce, Santa Rosa, Shiro, Hanska, Black Ice. Superior and Alderman have never had it. Have now planted new resistant varieties: The President, Obilnaja, Bluebyrd, Seneca, Early Italian. Also trying a Waneta but not sure yet. Will take about 3 years to tell. Ive been told The President, and Bluebyrd are two of the most resistant. Also Blues Jam, but they are rather small.
