Has anyone actually grown the hardy kiwi “prolific” in isolation without a male and still actually get any decent amount of fruit? I’ve been looking online and can’t seem to find people who have.

It is claimed to be…
But claims & reality are often not the same.
There should be multiple people on my kiwi group who know exactly how it performs in different environments!

Started growing it this year and only have a issai so I am trying but expect it to take 2-3 years to set fruit. Also I believe they won’t have the black seeds shown in the picture absent a male…but @kiwinut will know the answer to that for sure.

I’ve looked extensively and can’t find anybody that actually confirms it is self fruitfal. But every website that sells it claims that it is.

Im definitely considering swapping for an Issai instead. Plenty of reports online that it truly is self fruitful.
