Who has grown it?
The color is intriguing, but unless it’s particularly worthwhile, I can’t see paying $14 for a single plant from Burpee especially considering they’re supposedly not supposed to make a lot of runners, which means I’m gonna be stuck with one plant. I mean, what am I going to do with that?
What is the cross to get flavor and have it be purple?
It doesn’t look purple enough to me to make me want to grow it. It just looks like a really ripe strawberry. Some reviews are positive but I’m ok with ordering from somewhere else for that price…
I have grown it and you have to let it ripen a long time to be purple, taste is decent. It died out on me, no runners, It didn’t seem to grow well. I grow Archer now, and it seems better adapted to my climate.
Sorry I have not been around. I can’t answer PM’s as I have little time. I have some medical issues, and won’t be growing much if anything this year. my apologies for not responding to PM’s. Hopefully I will be back at some point late summer.
