Sometimes if you pull on the branch to open it up some and pull hard with hands or pliers they will pull out. Especially the old copper wires.
If you can’t get it out, trim it so there is as little wire left as possible. The tree will grow around it usually with no harm done if it’s just a thin wire. Assuming it’s only partially embedded.

The taste was alright, a lot like Goumi, but I can’t imagine picking enough of these to be of any use.
Seems normal sized to me. The plants I have seen before get covered in the berries, enough that you could strip a fair amount off the branches relatively fast.
Yes, they are tiny. Most have a big seed, too. I prefer goumi for more fruit to seed ratio. Autumn olives can, however, be picked with a blueberry harvester, so you can make quick work of picking them.
